Science: Seaside Spring-clean

People will keep leaving litter about. Can you help the seaside animals get free of all that rubbish? This story and play session encourages children to show care and concern for living things and for the environment. It is suitable for the Foundation Stage and for younger or less able KS1 pupils.

How are our bodies like those of marine creatures – and how are they different?  Observe and compare animal characteristics in this enjoyable multi-activity workshop. This session is particularly suitable for Reception and Year 1 pupils.

Science: Lost at Sea!

Last night there was a big storm in the North Sea and some of the seaside animals got lost - can you help them get home? This challenging multi-activity workshop takes the children on a seaside journey to learn about animals and plants in their habitats. This is a KS1 session but could also be used for less able pupils in lower KS2.

English: The Big Blue Sea

Dive under the water to find out who lives in the Big Blue Sea.  Can you help our marine friends so our story has a happy ending?  This story and play session allows children to develop their imaginative language skills and is suitable for the Foundation Stage and for younger or less able KS1 pupils.

English: Auntie Explora’s Lost Treasure

Help us finish Auntie Explora’s exciting adventure – choose your favourite treasure to be featured in this tropical tale. This multi-activity workshop looks at story planning and provides a stimulus for imaginative writing in KS1.

Art & Design: What’s Under the Water?

Look closely at the weird and wonderful creatures of The Deep and find out more about their amazing colours, shapes and patterns. This multi-activity workshop allows KS1 pupils to explore some of the visual and tactile qualities of the marine environment.
