Here you will find some of the answers to questions we are regularly asked!

Q. What time are you open?

A.

The Deep is open every day from 10am to 6pm (last entry at 5pm), excluding Christmas Eve and Christmas Day when we are closed.

Q. Do I need to book to visit?

A.

No you don't need to book. You can either buy your tickets on the day on your visit or via our website at www.thedeep.co.uk where you can save 10%.

Q. What is your postcode for my sat nav?

A.

Search for The Deep, Tower Street, Hull HU1 4DP. If your sat nav does not recognise this address (some Tom Tom models don't), please use the alternative postcode HU9 1TU

Q. Do you have a car park on site?

A.

Yes we do have a car park on site which costs £3 per car for a six hour period.

Visitors also get asked to fill in a Day Plus Pass form. The Deep Day Plus Pass allows you and those with you with you on the day of your visit to return to The Deep free for a 12-month period. On the next visit after purchase, Day Plus Pass holders will be required to attach a passport style photograph to the Day Plus Pass form and bring some form of additional photo ID (eg. a passport or driving licence).

Each of the people listed on the Day Plus Pass Form may visit individually if they have the complete original membership form with them. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Q. Can school groups visit The Deep?

A.

Yes. We have an extensive learning centre suitable for children from Foundation up to Post 16. Visits cost £5 per pupil (£6 in June and July). To find out more and view our list of workshops, please click here.

Q. Can I eat at The Deep?

A.

Yes. Visitors can eat throughout the day in our Observatory Cafe (and during peak times the Halfway Cafe snack bar is also open). We serve a selection of hot and cold meals, light snacks, salads, confectionary and hot and cold drinks.

We also have the Two Rivers restaurant which is open Friday and Saturday evenings from 7pm. Diners are treated to a Meditteranean menu with a Yorkshire twist next to some of the best aquatic displays in Europe. Booking is essential by calling 01482 382883.

Q. Can I bring my dog into The Deep?

A. Only guide and assistance dogs are allowed into the exhibition. The Deep does not condone dogs being left in cars whilst parked onsite.

Q. Can I dive with the sharks?

A. No, only our own dive team are allowed into any of our tanks.
