Day Plus Pass Terms & Conditions

The Deep Day Plus Pass allows you and those with you with you on the day of your visit to return to The Deep free for a 12-month period. On the next visit after purchase, Day  Plus Pass holders will be required to attach a passport style photograph to the Day  Plus Pass form and bring some form of additional photo ID (eg. a passport or driving licence).

Each of the people listed on the Day Plus Pass Form may visit individually if they have the complete original membership form with them. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

This membership cannot be used on certain bank holidays:  In addition to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (when The Deep is closed) Day Plus Passes cannot be used on the first five dates following the purchase of the pass. For example if you purchased your Day Plus Pass on 31st March 2010 you would not be able to use it on the first five bank holidays following this date:

If a Day Plus Pass is lost, The Deep is prepared to replace the pass subject to sufficient evidence of purchase being presented.  Replacements can only be processesd following the completion of a written application for replacement (click here for this form).  This form must be posted to The Deep in advance and replacement pass applications cannot be handled in person.  There is an administration charge of £5 per Day Plus Pass replacement.

Essential Ticket Information

* Please note that vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with online sales as the online tickets are discounted
* Seniors: 60+
* Students: please bring valid student ID with you (card must have photo and valid expiry date)
* Children: 3 - 15 years (under 3’s are free)
* Family tickets: can be made up of children, seniors and a maximum of 2 adults
* All under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult

Online Ticket Information

• You do not need to select a date for your visit, your tickets are open-ended and do not have an expiry date.
• You will be given a confirmation number at the end of your booking (which will also be emailed to you).  Simply bring this confirmation number along with you to the pre-booked ticket desk on the day of your visit.
• When collecting your tickets you will be given the chance to complete your Day Plus Pass Form.  This will allow you and those for whom you have purchased tickets free entry to The Deep for 12 months (terms and conditions apply).   The Day Plus Pass form also gives you the option to Gift Aid your entry.  This does not cost you a penny more but helps our charitable conservation and education work.
• Tickets purchased online cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or voucher. 
• Where too many tickets have been purchased (or where a customer may have duplicated an entire purchase), refunds are available. These will need to be processed by the finance department during the office hours of Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm.

The Deep and Day Plus Pass

So that visitors can gain the most from their experience at The Deep, on purchase of a day ticket visitors will be able to return to The Deep for a further 12 months free of charge (terms and conditions apply). This is applicable to all tickets purchased online too!

Using Gift Aid means for every pound you donate we are able to claim 25 pence from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, helping us to continue our educational, conservational and charity work. Imagine what a difference that could make and it does not cost you a thing.  To be able to Gift Aid, you must pay income tax and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax The Deep will claim (currently 25 pence for every £1 you spend).
