Fun with Frogs
Find out all about frogs, this half term. Meet Frankie, our fabulous 12ft tall, interactive, talking, virtual frog! Make your own colourful frog badge and and enjoy a frog workshop where you can discover the secrets of these amazing creatures - and you'll even have the chance to make some slime to take home! Check out our Living Rivers display in Deep Blue One, home to our poison arrow frogs, milk frogs, golden mantella frogs and the Suriname Toad.
Activities include:
- Frog workshop - daily at 12.30pm (lasting approximately 45 minutes)
- Lagoon of Light presentations - quarter past every hour (from 10.15am to 4.15pm)
- Endless Oceans presentations - twenty past every hour (from 10.20am to 4.20pm)
Shark 3D movie
Visitors can watch our exciting shark 3D movie throughout the day. Please ask a member of staff for more details.
Explorers' Den
Visit out Explorers' Den and see carniverous plants. You can also go virtual birdwatching in Brazil by watching the live link to the webcam in the Brazilian Rainforest on the reserve funded by the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA). The Deep has sponsored a ranger to help with this important conservation project.
Living Rivers
Discover the amazing animals that live in some of the world's greatest river habitats including the Rio Grande in USA/Mexico, the Amazon in South America and the Mekong in China. See snakes, red bellied piranha, leaf cutter ants, axolotls, blue poison arrow frogs and bumblebee gobies. Also walk through our fascinating 'fog screen' - it's truly mistifying!
Lagoon Feeds
See our exciting lagoon feeds at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm.
Dive Presentation
Watch our dive team kit up and enter the tanks at 2pm each day. Please note the dive presentation may be cancelled at short notice due to operational constraints.
