Calling all amateur photographers!

The Deep is pleased to host a wildlife Photography compeition with entries being taken until 31 October 2020.

Theme

The theme of the competition is SPECIES FOUND IN YORKSHIRE.

What is a species?

A species is any living organism – plant, tree, fungus, mammal, bird, reptile or invertegbrate!

Although humans are indeed a species, for the prupose of the competitiion we ask that no people are included!

Categories

There are 2 age categories - 

There are 3 photo categories - 

You can enter up to 3 photos per category (total of 9 photos altogether).

If you are not sure which category your photo fits into, don't worry too much, its just to help us organise the winners - give it your best guess and we will shuffle you into a new category if needed.

Prizes

There will be 12 overall winners for the calendar made up of 6 junior and 6 adult?

(4 from each category)

An additional 8 runners up will be added to the selection to form an exhibition at The Deep, on show throughout 2021.

Opening Times

  • Open daily from 10am until 6pm
  • Last admission is at 5pm, although we recommended you to arrive no later than 4pm
  • The Deep’s peak times are between 11am – 2pm, should you prefer a quieter environment please visit outside these times.
  • Car parking is available costing £3 for six hours. It can become full during school holidays. Alternative car parks can be found here

The Deep reserves the right to carry out random bag searches at reception. To minimise delays, please avoid bringing large bags and rucksacks into the attraction.
