We're excited to once again be collaborating with Colliderfest 2026, a four-day science and arts extravaganza celebrated throughout the city of Hull!
On the 14th & 15th March, between 10am and 3pm, come along to The Deep and get hands-on with a varied programme of fascinating, hands-on science workshops and experiments! No pre-booking is required, just drop in!
Join our Crew for Let's Get Glowing, a series of science-based activities hosted in our Sea Labs exploring the deep sea world of bioluminescence.
Step into Sea Lab 2, our dark room, which takes a closer look at the differences between bioluminescence and biofluorescence through UV shark models and a fun UV colouring activity.
Next, head on over to our light room, Sea Lab 3, for a series of games and experiments! There will be artistic projections and an interactive magic floor, alongside the opportunity to have your very own UV tattoo!
These activities are FREE of charge; no entry ticket to The Deep is required to be purchased in order to attend the Colliderfest activities alone. However, standard admission tickets would need to be purchased for entry into the main aquarium, unless you are an Existing Annual Pass Holder.
