2025 was another landmark year for The Deep, reaching significant milestones and delivering continued impact through our Aquarium and conservation work.
We proudly welcomed our 10 millionth visitor and engaged 443,530 visitors overall, while delivering formal learning experiences to more than 18,000 children. In addition to the numerous charitable outputs you will find in this document, The Deep played its part in the wider regional prosperity, delivering an annual economic value of £20 million.
With a team of 143 resolute Crew, we strengthened our reputation for excellence in conservation and education, providing excellent customer service, driving outstanding visitor experiences, first-class facilities and inspiring days out. The Deep is proud to be a trusted and authoritative voice delivering information on environmental, biological and science-based information.
At the start of 2025, the Board welcomed two new trustees, we are deeply grateful to all trustees for the expertise and time they generously contribute. Sincere thanks also extends to the many visitors who support our charitable work by visiting us.
