Everything you need to know when planning a visit to The Deep.

Do I have to wear a face covering during my visit?

Following the recent update from the Government, as of Friday 10 December 2021 all visitors aged of 11 years and over will be required to wear a face covering when visiting The Deep unless medically exempt. For further information please see Gov.uk

How do I pay for parking?

Payment for parking is required on arrival and is £3 for 6 hours. Our car park machines take coins, if you would rather pay by card, please do this at reception when collecting entry tickets.

Can I still use the accessible entrance?

Yes. If you or a member of your party has a disability please use the accessible entrance as normal. Please be mindful of social distancing in the reception area if the main entrance has a queue.

Can I visit the café during my visit?

Please only arrive at The Deep at the time you have booked online, you can then visit the cafe either before your ticket is scanned at the turnstile, or alternatively you can visit after going round the aquarium as your journey will end here.

Will your toilets be open?

Yes. All toilets will be open, but will be closed regularly throughout the day for an increased cleaning schedule. Please ask a member of staff for the nearest toilets available. We appreciate your cooperation and patience to socially distance within our facilities.

Will your Changing Places facility be open?

Yes. The Changing Places facility will be open as normal, with a radar key. As with all the toilets, it will also subject to an increased cleaning schedule meaning it will be closed off temporarily throughout the day.

Will all the interactives be available?

Yes our interactive stations will be open to use including Digi:sea and the magic floor at Discovery Corner. All touch points will be cleaned regularly. Please be mindful you may need to wait to use interactives or view exhibits to maintain social distancing, and please ensure you sanitise your hands regularly.

Will your picnic area be open?

The indoor picnic area will remain closed, however picnic areas and tables are available outside the attraction. We politely ask that picnics are not eaten within The Deep.

Can my child visit by themselves?

All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times when visiting The Deep.

Can I bring my dog to The Deep?

Only guide and assistance dogs are permitted into the exhibition. The Deep does not permit dogs being left in cars whilst parked onsite.

Do you offer electric car charging points?

Yes. We offer FREE electric car charge points for our customers during our opening hours of 10am and 6pm. After this time, they are switched off. 

Can I bring luggage for you to store?

Unfortunately, we cannot look after any items of luggage or prams. Please only bring what you can carry around with you.

The Deep is open daily from 10am – 6pm Monday - Friday and 9am - 6pm weekends & school holidays (last entry 5pm)

Car parking is available at a cost of £3 for six hours. It can become full during school holidays – alternative car parks can be found here.
