Did you know?
Diet
These frogs are insectivores. Their diet consists mainly of ants, termites and small spiders.
Fun fact
Some indigenous cultures have used these frogs’ poison to coat the tip of blow darts before hunting — a tradition that inspired the frogs’ name.
Habitat
They're found in only a few areas of rainforest in Suriname and northern Brazil. They generally live under rocks and moss near streams.
Females will lay around 10 eggs, which are then fertilized by the male.
