- Nurse shark
Did you know?
Diet
They are nocturnal, so hunt at night along the bottom of the sea for crustaceans, mollusks and stingrays.
Fun fact
Nurse sharks aren't generally aggressive and usually swim away when approached. However, some unprovoked attacks on swimmers and divers have been reported.
Habitat
You'll find them in the Atlantic Ocean.
"These bottom dwelling sharks are usually yellowish-tan to dark brown and can grow up to 2 and a half metres long, weighing over 200 pounds. They are nocturnal, so spend the day in their favourite cave or crevice, often sleeping in groups. Then they come out at night to search the bottom of the sea for food. "
