![]() Dive showThis takes place at at 2pm each day at Endless Oceans (Monday to Friday), the Lagoon of Light (Saturday) and the Amazon Flooded Forest (Sunday). Watch the video of our divers feeding the sharks here. Please note: the dive shows taking place on Tuesday and Thursday in the Endless Oceans tank are cleaning only. The animals are fed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. |
![]() Touchpool SessionsHandle some of our smaller species native to the UK at Dylans Discovery Corner including starfish, velvet swimmer crabs and sea urchins. These sessions take place at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm, 3.30pm and 4.30pm. Make sure you also try your hand at fossil brushing in this area as well as testing your skills on the interactive magic floor. |
Penguin FeedingSee our keepers hand feed the loveable Gentoo penguins in the Kingdom of Ice at 11.30am and 3.30pm every day. This is accompanied by a talk on the lower level of the enclosure, just through the ice tunnel, by one of our Guides who will explain more about the penguin's feeding and behaviour, as well as threats faced to penguins in the wild. |

2018 has seen the installation of an exciting gallery of underwater photography on the 3rd floor from world renowned photographer Nuno Vasco Rodriguez.
With a special interest in fish ecology, Nuno uses his images as a tool for research, conservation and education. His photos have been published in exhibitions, newspapers, magazines and both national and international books. He is the author of the book, Marine Fishes of Portugal and co-author of two books about marine fauna, one of which is currently being finalised (Marine Fishes of São Tomé & Principe, Africa). Nuno works as the Assistant Curator at Oceanário de Lisboa (Portugal) and researcher at MARE IPLeiria.
The gallery is free to view on the 3rd floor of the aquarium.

The Deep 1 to 1 Experience is a morning with a difference for those with a love of the marine world.
Get hands on and help The Deep crew with a series of day to day activities as well as seeing behind the scenes. Experience days are ideal for youngsters with a passion for the marine world or those looking at getting into a Marine Biology career, but are also perfect for adults with an interest in aquaria. The Deep Experience is suitable for participants aged 8 and above. Exact details are dependent on participant age - please click here to find out more and to book.

Don’t get crabby, come to little nippers on Tuesday mornings 9:30-11am for our fun-filled discovery and play sessions.
Suitable for children aged 2 and under. Enjoy a sing-a-long and story time in The Deep’s soft play area. Pay admission to The Deep once, and receive a Day Plus Pass which entitles you to visit as often as you like for free. Booking is not required. Simply turn up on the day.
Adults pay £13.50 for 12 months entry, plus £1 per session for your little nipper!

Public transport information
The Deep takes the safety and security of its staff and visitors seriously and continue to work with Counter Terrorism Police Officers to review security regimes on a regular basis. Whilst the details of such plans cannot be shared we have in place measures to respond to changes in the threat levels for international terrorism. In light of recent events the security within the building and external spaces has been reviewed.
For the safety and reassurance of visitors, The Deep reserves the right to carry out random bag searches at reception. To avoid delays, please avoid bringing large bags and rucksacks.
