Join us on the 3rd & 4th October for our Seascape Festival!
Hosted in partnership with Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, Seascape Festival will include various hands-on family fun for visitors of all ages to learn about oysters, saltmarshes, seagrass and sand dunes. Find out more about the animals that can be found in these habitats and why they are so important to our ecosystem.
Become your very own Seagrass Restoration Officer with our DIY seagrass coring station activity and enjoy interactive tabletop demonstrations of different habitats, including how quickly oysters can filter pollutants. Oyster shell crafts will also be on offer for children to take home their own memories of the day!
This event shines a spotlight on the Wilder Humber project, a pioneering partnership between Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust and Ørsted. Wilder Humber’s ambitious 5 year programme seeks to restore marine habitats and species throughout the Humber estuary.
The Seascape Festival event is included in standard ticket entry. No additional booking is required. Visitors are advised to book a timeslot in advance of their visit.
