The Deep is open 10am-6pm (last entry 5pm) every day, except from the 24th and 25th December.
Our ticket prices can be found here.
All our standard paid admission tickets are an Annual Pass, which includes unlimited free return visits for a full 12 months.
Please don’t worry, we do not need to see the original ticket. On your next visit, please provide your name and postcode to our Reception team, who will then be able to locate your pass on our system and print new tickets.
Visitors on average spend between 1 ½ to 2 hours going around the aquarium. Once you are inside the building, you can spend as much time as you like with us until the building closes at 6pm.
Our tickets are non-refundable. However, we are happy to transfer your tickets to a new date and timeslot. Your booking is held in our system and your Annual Pass(es) will not be activated until you make your first physical visit to us.
Please email your request to info@thedeep.co.uk and our team will be able to help.
The Deep can be very busy on weekends, school holidays and bank holidays, especially between 11am-3pm. We also tend to be busier when it is raining.
We are quieter during term-time weekdays, particularly when we open at 10am or after 3pm. As the building does not close until 6pm, there is plenty of time to enjoy the aquarium.
Due to the busy nature of the aquarium, we are not able to allow access for pets.
We do not permit leaving dogs in cars.
Only Assistance & Emotional Support Dogs are allowed into the building.
Unfortunately, we cannot look after any items of luggage or prams. Please only bring what you can carry around with you.
You are welcome to pop in and out of the aquarium to collect items such as picnic bags or prams from your car.
For visits during the week at term-time, you don’t need to pre-book.
If you are visiting on a weekend, bank holiday or during school holidays, we would highly recommend pre-booking to secure your entry.
We ask everyone to try and keep as close to their booked timeslot as possible. This helps control the flow and number of people throughout the aquarium, particularly during peak times.
Visitors have a 30-minute window in which to arrive. For example, if you booked the 11am timeslot, you could arrive anywhere between 11am and 11:30am.
If you are running later than this, please do not worry. Just arrive safely and we will honour your booking.
