Buying tickets online

When buying tickets online, simply choose the date of your visit (please note, if you are unable to visit on the chosen date, our reception team can amend this on arrival for you). When you have made your booking, you will be emailed a confirmation number. Please bring this confirmation number with you on the day of your visit and join the main queue. 

Tickets bought online include free return visits for you and your party for 12 months with the Day Plus Pass. To take advantage of this, simply provide the details you gave on your first visit and our reception team will recall your details on the computer system.

The Deep offers a group booking discount for pre-booked parties of 10 or more paying visitors. Please do not include any essential carers within your party as they are admitted free of charge on a 1:1 basis for visitors who have additional needs.

Groups can also benefit from fast track entry via our designated groups/disabled entrance (this is the one nearest to the Humber), free coach parking on site and drop off points at the main doors, free coach driver entry and free coach driver lunch as well as a free group organiser place for groups of over 20 people.

Please note, group tickets do not include free return visits for 12 months (this only applies to standard admission tickets). Group tickets are single use only.

Group bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance by calling 01482 381000 where payment can be taken on a credit/debit card. Any unused tickets will be refunded in full on the day of your visit. Please note, The Deep can be busy, both in term time and during the school holidays, so large groups are advised to consider visiting later in the day (from 1pm onwards).

Opening Times

  • Open daily from 10am until 6pm
  • Last admission is at 5pm, although we recommended you to arrive no later than 4pm
  • We are closed on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day
  • The Deep’s peak times are between 11am – 2pm, should you prefer a quieter environment please visit outside these times.
  • Car parking is available costing £3 for six hours. It can become full during school holidays. Alternative car parks can be found here
  • For the safety and reassurance of visitors, The Deep reserves the right to carry out random bag searches at reception. To avoid delays, please avoid bringing large bags and rucksacks

Public transport information

Safety Update

The Deep takes the safety and security of its staff and visitors seriously and continue to work with Counter Terrorism Police Officers to review security regimes on a regular basis. Whilst the details of such plans cannot be shared we have in place measures to respond to changes in the threat levels for international terrorism. In light of recent events the security within the building and external spaces has been reviewed.
